How to Book KORAIL, Seoul to Busan! (韓国汽車予約, tempahan Korea Train)

Dear, TRAVELERS!

During you preparing for a trip to Korea, you want to go many cities and of course include Busan. So, I can help you to how to get Seoul to Busan. Just follow me, it is really easy to Book Your KORAIL Ticket!

Before I start explain, KORAIL is the 'Korea Rail System'. You can imagine 'EURAIL' in Europe, then Korea has KORAIL. As you know, yes, KORAIL is not go to North, it works at only South Korea.

KORAIL KTX train has a charger :) KTX is fastest way to get to Busan from Seoul!

1. Go KORAIL Reservation Homepage

This is English Version Homepage. You can make reservation all your trip trains here. When you click this link, you could see this picture below on your screen.

2. Select and put every information here.

 - Travel Category: Choose Normal Type! (O.V-train·S-train·A-train·Gtrain·DMZ-train, are tourist trains. KORAIL, they devide South Korea by 5 section, the five major regions. Includes central inland, the southern ocean, the peace life, the west sea gold, and the gangwon purity area. This 5 themes contains local culture and natural scenery.)

Anyway, we are just Seoul to Busan, so choose 'Normal Type'.

 - Travel Type: Choose 'Direct'. 'Transfer' will make you tired. It's only for 'Plan B', when a direct ticket is sold out.

Tip! Weekend tickets are sold out quickly, so if you want to sit and go, it's good to book a month before. You can check train schedules and purchase tickets up to 1 month in advance.

- Departure/Arrival: Seoul / Busan (Another city possible)

- Train: All (But I strongly recommend choose KTX, this is the best, fastest way, little expensive, you can save your time.)

When you setting your trip information, just click 'INQUIRY'. And then train informations are show up. 

3. Select your Seat Class and Payment, Finished!

- 1st Class: I recommend for age over 50s. It's good seats but Standard seat is nice too.

- Standard Class: Most of travelers, choose this seats. It's normal and cheap.

- Standing/ Not assigned: Maybe it will be hard trip. I do not book standing. It's hard to find where you stand in train. There is not enough room for luggage.

It is very easy to book KORAIL ticket and print it. If you didn't book your ticket, then just go to trail station and go to counter, just say "Busan, Please (BUSAN Gayo. in Korean)", or you can issue a ticket with automatic ticket machine at the station.
