CONRAD SEOUL

First Impressions

I saw a lot of pictures of the famous spiral staircase in the lobby of Conrad Seoul through visitors' SNS and Internet reviews. The reason I came here is to have a year-end party with college friends. This is the middle of November, 2016, and the weather is getting colder. Yet, the lobby of the hotel was in the autumn feeling.

Most hotels check in at 2 or 3 o'clock, Conrad Seoul at 4 o'clock. Many visitors, including myself, would be curious about this, but I did not ask. I arrived about 15 minutes early today and checked in.

I heard that the line ending at the 16th line has a beautiful view, but at the end of year, there are many people, so the room of the line 16 has already gone, I got to stay in line 02.

When I open the door of room, there are Welcome message on the T.V (Apple multimedia entertainment hub, you can handle all facilities here of the room!) with my name. It is a small but pleasant service. This deluxe Executive room is 48 sq m/ 516 sq ft, city view(or river view), I will explain in more detail below, in Section 'View'.

My friends like to drink and look around from the mini bar one by one to see what kind of liquor is there. But Executive Lounge Happy Hour is waiting for us, interest in the minibar was quickly disappeared. Instead, a friend brought a Nespresso capsule for an espresso machine and for some time enjoyed coffee and celebrated our a night party started.

2 Queen Double Beds

For 3 persons, 2 Queen Double Beds were enough. We had not any inconvenience for us as a friend for 9 years since our college days. It was a very comfortable queen sized bed so we could sleep comfortably without interfering each other. Of course, I won the game and get a this large bed alone!

Bathroom and Amenities

Clean and nice bathrooms are an important factor in comforting the quests. That's right, Conrad Seoul. Amenities, we can choose between Aromatherapy Associates and Tara Smith and Shanghai Tang, but the last brand was not available anymore since last month.
Then, as I said on the top, check-in was at 4 O'clock, but I was about 15 minutes early. Was 15 minutes too early? There was not existed amenity that I requested 1 day before, so I requested in advance and they are brought them to the room. Following the front desk, I checked in early so they were not ready. Yes, it was no problem, fully understandable. Let me see... return to the bathroom, there are transparent windows, and people inside and outside can see each other. Although it is the trend of hotels these days, it is good for each other if you push the button and make windows blur, it will be better for use them.

In front of the building you can see people still working at night until 11 pm. or later. Even when you woke up the next morning, they would be back to work already before your breakfast time. So it seems that the skyscrapers of the night can be beautiful with a flash of light.

Executive Lounge

When you book with Executive floor, you can access Executive Lounge on Level 37- the highest floor of Conrad Seoul. They offers evening cocktails and complimentary breakfast, just like any other hotels. The wide window and the proper lighting gave me a good feeling when I was at home. So we could have a relaxing time here with wines and canapes.

Breakfast at the Executive Lounge does not have many kinds of food, but instead offer essentials - soups, eggs, bacon, hash browns and muesli and so on. Added, Omelets can be ordered. If you do not stay in the executive floor, you can choose the breakfast at Conrad Seoul's prestigious ZEST restaurant. There are more people then lounge, but many kinds of foods and the quality of the taste is good. I will also visit ZEST for the next stay breakfast.

Executive Lounge Happy Hour

This is a little information about Conrad Seoul, but there is luxury spa, fitness center, swimming pool and other facilities that will make your stay here a great time. If you are going to visit Yeouido, Seoul, try to stay at here.

My friends and I went to a party in Itaewon after a happy hour, it took only 30 minutes by taxi. This means that Conrad Seoul is close to everywhere the hot spots in Seoul are. Enjoy urban style stay!
