KOREA BEST THEME AMUSEMENT PARK, EVERLAND 에버랜드

There are 3 Famous Theme Park in or near Seoul, Korea.
First, EVERLAND: You must spend whole day for visit here!
Second, LOTTE WORLD: You need to spend a time a half to whole day for enjoy here.
Third, GRAND PARK SEOUL: Of course, you need to spend here for a half to whole day.
Especially, I think EVERLAND is really worth a visit, I strongly recommend here.

History

Today, I would like to introduce you about EVERLAND Theme Park.
I visited here more than 100 times, in my life (seriously, it's real!) with good memories since when I was born. About 20 years ago, EVERLAND was not EVERLAND. Name was changed, name was NATURAL FARM ! but, it was not real natural farm, there were ski slopes on the mountain, somewhat more 'eco-friendly cultural space' then today. Yes, this natural farm called an amusement park too.

Oh, I miss this Lion Character, and I loved him. But today I found that he was married!

This Tulip character was really popular among the little girls. In the past, when you go to this amusement theme park and not buy this character fan or dolls, many children would sit on the street and cry all day before their parents buy some for them. According to my parents, I was not a child who acted so badly on the street. Believe or not!

Many characters have been created in the history of Everland, but in recent years cute characters make lighten our wallet. You can check them at the end of this post!

How to get to EVERLAND?

EVERLAND is not in Seoul, in the Yong-in City (near Seoul). So you must take Bus, or Taxi from where you are.

BUS from Seoul

Shuttle Bus
- Travel time: 40~50minutes
- Bus fare: Seoul route \12,000 Suwon route \8,000 (round trip)
- Prior reservation required (English service available)
- Pay by Only cash in the shuttle bus

When you arrived at EVERLAND, maybe you need to take Shuttle bus again, for go to entrance of this Theme Park. EVERLAND is very large amusement park, so you cannot go without this shuttle from bus station. This is electronic bus, free fee.

Of course, you need to pay for entrance.
One-day Ticket is 52,000KRW, Night Ticket is 43,000KRW.
Two-day Ticket is 81,000KRW.

Enjoy Attractions and Zoo :)

Take a map after entry. First-time visitors may get lost in this vast area. If you see the map but do not know the route, you can ask the staff. They are very well trained, mostly lives in Everland. There are many roller coasters and thrilling rides here, but I am really scared of them. So I always spend a lot of time at the zoo with animals. If you like thrilling rides and your partner is not, why not go with our couple? I have always been sorry to let my husband who like rides get alone. His side is always empty, even when riding the *most famous attraction in EVERLAND.
*Steepest ride in the world with a top speed of 104km per hour at a 77degree angle. The world's superb wooden roller coaster will leave you with unforgettable memories that you can treasure forever.
I really don't like them, so I visit Zoo! How peaceful they are?

Gift Shops

There are 18 gift shops in EVERLAND. I recommend Grand Emporium to Laciun Memorium shop. They are at the Zone : Global Fair, most biggest shop in this area. Popular characters are also animal characters, and nowadays in winter season - penguins are the best! Rabbit characters and puppies are children's favorite. I bought this character, gave a name 'Pengdol-e (펭돌이). 'dol' means for boys name, and 'Peng' is from 'Penguin'. I love my lovely doll!!!

We walked from morning till evening, I ate, play... I was going to go home, then my husband said that he need one more attraction. Name, 'Double Rock Spin: The powerful spin and rhythm of this ride is sure to provide exhilarating thrills! Enjoy the thrill of the ride that executes 4 consecutive full spins at a height of 20 meters. Spin count and intensity vary depending on the number of riders!'

After this, We went home with good memories.
Nowadays they held snow festival for a while. If you visit Korea from other countries, please enjoy your one day here :)
